Google rolled out a Chrome Stable update on Tuesday: 150.0.7871.181 and 150.0.7871.182. Sounds routine, right? Two days later, Chrome is already issuing another security patch: 150.0.7871.186 / 150.0.7871.187 (Windows + macOS), with 150.0.7871.186 for Linux + Android. This is the “don’t wait” kind of emergency. The update fixes four high-risk vulnerabilities, all reported as identified by Google internally. Three of the four issues are UAF (Use-After-Free) bugs—classic memory-safety problems where freed memory is still used. The fourth is an out-of-bounds write, another memory corruption vector. If attackers find a reliable trigger path, a specially crafted HTML page could be enough to bypass Chrome’s sandbox protections, enabling remote attackers to gain more control. Severity scores are high across the board (including 8.8-rated CVEs). If you’re on Chrome 150.x, update ASAP—especially if you browse unknown sites or manage endpoints at work. #Cybersecurity #Chrome #GoogleChrome #VulnerabilityManagement #UAF #WebSecurity
