Online scam ads are everywhere—and they’re not just fooling people. They’re quietly destroying trust in the entire digital advertising market. So Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Development (數位發展部) is taking anti-fraud cooperation beyond government and platforms—into the ad supply chain. The ministry is leading a cross-industry effort to form the “Digital Advertising Trust Alliance” with Taiwan’s three major advertising industry associations. The goal: connect nearly 300 digital ad-related businesses to build a more reliable digital ad ecosystem. What’s next? A “Defense Network Platform” will centralize shared anti-scam intelligence: new scam tactics, high-risk ad patterns, and related risk info—so industry partners can respond faster and close blind spots in placement and review. The alliance also plans industry self-regulation, embedding anti-fraud processes into ad publishing, screening, and operations with trackable internal controls. Plus, a “Trust Label” system is being considered to help advertisers and consumers identify partners with real anti-scam capability and accountability. Because fighting scams can’t be one side’s job—it has to be the whole chain. #DigitalAds #AntiFraud #CyberSecurity #AdTech #Trust #Taiwan
