Anthropic just dropped “Claude Tag,” a new enterprise collaboration feature that changes the whole AI-in-Slack vibe. Instead of keeping Claude trapped behind a separate chat window, Claude Tag lets it live inside your Slack team channel—so people can simply @mention it and hand off real tasks like a shared teammate. The big unlock: companies can authorize Claude Tag to access specific tools, data sources, and even code repositories. That means it can analyze product data, help triage customer support tickets, and assist with debugging—more like day-to-day work, less like “here’s an answer.” What makes it feel different (and smarter) is the context: Claude shares the same channel workspace and discussion history, so fewer “quick question—can you remind me what we said?” moments. If enabled, it can also proactively summarize key info and track unresolved threads via an Ambient mode—then keep pushing async progress while you move on. With granular permissions, token limits, and full action logs, admins can control what Claude can access per channel. Now in beta for Claude Enterprise/Team, and set to replace the existing “Claude in Slack” app. #AIinSlack #EnterpriseAI #Productivity #CustomerSupport #SoftwareEngineering #Automation
